How do you get people to come to your paint and sip parties? Invite them!

Seriously though, it isn’t always easy to get people to come to paint and sip parties, or any other home parties for that matter. I will say though that in my experience, I have noticed that people are more interested in painting parties than Tupperware parties.

If you are starting a paint and sip business, you need to come up with creative ways to get clients and ensure that people will come to your parties. Where do you start?

Well, you start by reading this post. I am offering up these 20 tips that will help you get people to come to your paint and sip parties. If you build it, they will come!

Five Tips to Get People to Come to Your Parties

I was kind of lucky when it came to getting people to come to my paint and sip parties. I didn’t even have to approach anyone for my first party!

A friend of mine asked me to teach a party at her home. She and her guests had so much fun that not only did she book future parties, but so did some of her guests. Her guest’s guests also wanted to host parties.

All I had to do was sit back and let the hosts plan pretty much everything. I just had to come up with a painting for each party, a lesson plan, and the supplies that everyone would need.

It helps that I live in a small town, so it is easy to meet people. Not everyone can be quite this lucky. So, with that in mind, here are five tips that will bring people to your parties.

#1. Create Flyers

If you have a computer and a printer, you can create flyers that you can then post around your area. Make sure to include all of the important information.

For example, if you are just advertising your services, the flyer should state that you are teaching paint and sip classes and have your contact information, including your email address and telephone number. If you have a website, it should also be included.

There are lots of places you can put your flyers. Use bulletin boards at malls and stores, talk to small business owners about hanging your flyers, and even staple them to telephone poles if this is allowed in your area (I have done this many times).

#2. Have Business Cards

You should also make sure that you have plenty of business cards to hand out to everyone you meet. I’m not saying that you should be pushy about it, but if you can start a conversation that leads to paint and sip and you see that someone is showing an interest, hand them your card.

#3. Invite Friends and Family

Quite often it is your friends and family who will be your first paint and sip students. This is a great way to get the party started, pun intended.

They can invite their friends to paint and sip parties. Then, if all goes well, those friends will invite others to their own paint and sip parties. Remember, that’s how I got started.

#4. Take Advantage of Social Media

You need to use social media to your advantage. While you should eventually pay for real social media advertising, your own accounts will do the trick when you are just starting this type of business, and it won’t cost you anything.

Regularly post on your pages about your new paint and sip business, and let everyone know that you are ready to start teaching at parties. Set up group pages and invite family, friends, and even members of the public to join and learn more about your business.

#5. Promote Networking

Take your flyers to some of the larger corporations in your area. Ask to speak with human resources, and tell them how beneficial it could be for their businesses to have paint and sip networking events.

This is a great way for business people to connect with other business people. It is a comfortable and fun atmosphere, and they get a chance to make new business contacts and expand their horizons while enjoying a fun night of painting.

Conclusion

These are just a few of the ways you can convince people that they need to take part in your paint and sip events. Make sure they know that they are going to have a good time, be able to spend quality time with friends and family, meet new people, drink good wine, and learn how to create their very own artistic masterpiece.

Also, remember that word of mouth is always the best form of advertising. If one person likes your events, chances are they will let others know, and it won’t be long before your party calendar is completely booked.
